Weekend want(s): HOT picks from Parco next NEXT's 18 new labels – launching tomorrow the 14th of April!

In some places I've lived, supporting local fashion is an act of charity, cheering for uninspired rich kids playing at being designer.
But make no mistake. The scene in Singapore is more like London than Dubai. These new kids on the block have got the talent by the bucket!
From funky streetwear to perfectly-tailored work attire, original prints, and glamorous sharp cut frocks, the third batch of new designers at Parco next NEXT have got it all covered in their maiden collections which launch officially tomorrow, Saturday.
Despite having seen – and shopped – some of the collections this week, I’m looking forward to the launch party which will be the second Parco launch I go to since moving to Singapore (see here my first launch review).
One of my first purchases from the new designers at Parco next NEXT
is this cute t-shirt dress from MASH UP. Totally my style, Love it!!!

Apart from meeting the designers and viewing their work, A little birdie told me that there will be little surprises here and there - like custom-made cupcakes from LION EARL (yes I’ve reserved mine already ;-)) and an express manicure on offer at MASH UP, in addition to specially-created cocktails at Saloni Rathor! Can’t get better than that!

Anyways, I promise details and photos from the launch party will be posted on Monday but for now, take a look at my pick from each label and get down to Parco soon to treat yourself to one and support these emerging labels – not because it’s an act of charity but because they are HOT!

*All the above collections are sold at
PARCO next NEXT, within PARCO, Marina Bay Level 2 at Millenia Walk.

Still coveting this gorgeous ensemble from LION EARL, but meanwhile
their ready-made pieces are also as beautiful! You'll have to go check
them out for yourselves!

Yup I also got those printed leggings from KAE HANA! Love the
comfy fit and the print! Will be rocking them very soon ;-)

MASH UP t-shirt dress comes in black as well. You decide who wore
it better... the model or me ;-)?

Saloni Rathor's frocks are utlra feminine and breezy, perfect for
the summer! Love the tribal vibe of her collection.

Seeing this Episene dress last week, I was taken by how elegant
yet edgy it looked! I wouldn't mind rocking it for my next gala!
definitely eyeing this one!!!

Finally I got to see the Wil.Liam smart and sharp cut collection
which looks really good!! If only my hair was as sleek to match
but I'm sure a lot of Singapore ladies would love these incredibly well-made pieces.

This outfit from FOREWORD works all my favourite elements: mullet
skirt, feminine with a twist top and a beautiful hand-made necklace for
a dash of colour!

Quainthood is really changing my perspective on minimalism! I love
how soft and effortlessly cool pieces like this oversized shirt look.

I think one look at this extremely colouful outfit from Revasseur
and you know I want it! So un-apologetically out there! gotta
respect that :-)

Loving this black transformable dress from 20:twothree which
despite lacking any colour, is really verstaile and fun! Oh and
don't get me started on their cool super accessories...

I haven't seen Alexandria Chen's collection yet but judging by the
illustration, I think this dress with side panels is gonna be a hit!
Can't wait to see it tomorrow!!!

Angelia's frocks are simple and wearable and I think perfect for
people who like fuss-free and stylish pieces. Even I need me
a flattering LBD sometimes!!!

I'm not really a leather fan but I'm liking this twist on the overly sexy
material in this dress by ASH, using a bright colour and retro modest
cut. I really love the combination!

The only bag label this year at Parco is FOON FOONO whose the collection
is really simple and classic, for men and women. I was impressed by the
quality of the leather and the flawless execution! Definitely my kind of bag!

OK I don't wear men's clothes, however I cannot but love MILS collection
which is really refreshing and quite original! I wouldn't mind if my hubby
slipped into this jumpsuit for a change ;-)

I like how 2HB collection plays on the 70s look! Definitely a style
which works really well for guys here who love their prim and proper look

WSDM's collection has some really cool shirts with interesting prints.
They are stylish without being too out-there. I also love the play on unexpected
fabrics in some of the pieces. Definitely worth checking out!

Last but not least, I find these trousers (they also have a matching jacket)
from Evenodd to be really cool and quirky! The print is that of the black birds
hovering over Orchard road every afternoon. Love it!
