Almost a year ago, I spotted a certain clutch on Asia
Fashion Inc. which looked unique and set itself apart from all other exotic
skin bags which flood the market in this part of the world. That was the Jacque
from Singapore label Emblem.
Fast forward a year and the very same clutch which caught my
eyes had proved to be a success story and the design has been reproduced by the
designer in seasonal colours to suit every taste in addition to new designs.
And just recently, Mia, the young designer behind Emblem has
started designing shoes – some of which fit right into my wardrobe: colourful and
bold skyhigh heels. Needless to say I’m a big fan of!
Not only do they look good, but unlike most high heels, Emblem’s are actually
comfortable – well as comfortable as you’d expect 6-inch pumps to be ;-)
Comfy as they are stylish? Read on as I test the new collection of exotic skin heels from Singapore label Emblem. |
The irresistible Jacque clutch which I fell for, is now available in more colours! |
Hard to believe? Well
lucky for you, I’ve tried it for myself and here’s my verdict.
To match my orange Jacque clutch, I picked the PETRA python peep-toe pumps customized in the same shade for me (perk of the job
I guess ;-) and have been parading around in them.
I have to say I love the fit and the pumps and significantly
more comfortable than my usual high heels which makes them perfect to party or
even shop in!
They really are that comfortable. It's as close as kissing goodbye to nights of hobbling barefoot to the taxi with blisters on feet and shoes in hand as I've experienced from a pair of heels.

and customized in orange just for me ;-) Will post a pic wearing it once I find the perfect outfit to go with it! |
The quality is also very good, with leather insoles and
anti-slip soles, but as it is the case with exotic skin, they are
quite sensitive so they need good care to keep them looking great.
While the pumps are perfect choice for my style of dressing,
the yellow python SANDRA sandals and black and white TALIA lace ups look
gorgeous too! But my favourite has to be the GRETA snakeskin studded sandals in
turquoise which would look amazing teamed with an LBD on a night out.

Love the colour of this one!!! |

Sandra heels look stunning in this shade of yellow too |
But if you’re looking for something more practical, Emblem’s
best sellers are the colourful ballerina flats which are something of a foot
candy.
However given the choice I would definitely still go for the
heels! Why wouldn't you when finding a pair of shoes which looks sexy yet is easy on your
feet is as rare as finding a Birkin in a thrift shop!
Emblem shoes and bags are available at The Emporium, 9 Raffles Boulevard #01-71/72, Millenia Walk, Singapore and online at EmblemBoutique and AsiaFashionInc.
